Biographies

Ashley Deihr, Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP

With more than 13 years of experience, Ashley assists institutions to achieve strategic and financial success, optimize operational effectiveness and enhance compliance. Ashley drives innovation through strategic and enterprise risk assessments, internal audit and compliance reviews and investigations and business process reviews. She has assisted clients in developing and reengineering infrastructures, governance practices, internal controls and business processes to mitigate risk and enhance efficiency, effectiveness and compliance in such areas as budgeting and resource management, financial management and reporting, sponsored research administration, compliance governance and international operations.

SSA Paul Baumrind, FBI, Healthcare Fraud Unit, D.C.

Paul Baumrind has served as a law enforcement office for 25 years in three different agencies, including the Baltimore County Police Department, United States Federal Air Marshal Service and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. As a Special Agent in the FBI, Paul has worked on the Healthcare Fraud, Organized Crime and Public Corruption/Civil Rights squads in Boston, Massachusetts. Paul served as the FBI lead case agent in the case against Pfizer Pharmaceutical’s which resulted in a $2.3 billion settlement and the successful prosecution of the executives of Insys Therapeutics’. Paul is currently assigned as a Supervisory Special Agent at the Healthcare Fraud Unit in Washington, D.C.

Gregg Wishna, Protiviti

Gregg is an Associate Director in Protiviti’s Data Management and Advanced Analytics Consulting group. Gregg has earned a Master of Science as well as a BS in Decision and Information Sciences from the University of Florida. Gregg has over eleven years consulting and audit experience; leading projects and working closely with Senior Management. Since employment with Protiviti, Gregg has worked on several Data Management projects, with a focus on Data Governance, Data Analytics, and Business Intelligence. Gregg has also worked with clients in the following efforts: process improvement and re-designs, IT effectiveness and control assessments, IT strategy, shared services benchmarking and data analysis, as well as IT and business process Audit.
